Every action begins with a thought, a desire, an intention and thus manifestation is the result. This is a simple truth yet a very powerful one. Mind intention leads the body when we practice the flowing movements of our T'ai Chi form and we find ourselves in the center of a moving meditation.
If we say that life is a dance and all movement in the cosmos is cyclical, then we begin to observe the varied speeds at which movement occurs. All the cycles are happening simultaneously. A seed appears to be inactive yet when the conditions are perfect, a sprout appears. The stars that are millions of miles away are traveling at speeds that are beyond our ability to comprehend. This is the dance of life.
We have movement within our bodies and all the cells know their function and carry them out with tremendous skill and agility. When we choose to move our bodies in an intentional way, in harmony with the ways of nature, as in T'ai chi, we are imitating the wisdom of the cosmos as it is being expressed within and around us.
