The Benefits of Repetition

Learning this ancient art of T'ai Chi brings in new ways of moving and being to the faithful practitioner.
In essence, the form is the structural container that holds the fluidity of the chi
as it flows throughout the body.

The precision we attempt to achieve in our exercises is a discipline that assists us in gaining a habit of postural alignment that serves our physical body very well.
Inherent in this mind-intention guided approach to moving the body is the benefit
we enjoy as a result of repetition.

Words are not needed to explain what occurs. Feeling takes precedence.
 This leads to attuning with the flowing sequence of the form as a totality,
benefiting body, mind and spirit.

When one attempts to comprehend all the many facets of a holistic learning system, such as Tai Chi, it is to be done in a systematic, step-by-step manner. This facilitates grasping the “whole-body” understanding of Oneness with the movement patterns. Gradually over time, as a result of multiple repetitions, each movement flows into the next one from beginning to end.

In life, allow all of your movements to come from a place of centered choosing. This is the gift you give yourself when you embody this ancient art of harmonious living.
