This day, we have a double dose of cosmic energy as the Capricorn New Moon follows the solstice by a matter of hours. The pendulum swings and we have passed the darkest time and we are moving closer to the Light with each passing day.
In addition, the planet Saturn will move into the sign of Sagittarius on December 23rd after being in Scorpio since October of 2012. It is time to move into this Jupiter-ruled mutable fire sign and expand our vision of what is possible when we bring our aspirations into physical form to enhance our lives.
We approach fresh beginnings as the Sun and Moon in Capricorn are now at 0 degrees of this cardinal earth sign, which is ruled by Saturn. Capricorn reminds us to create solid structures and forms for our flights of fancy. Our expansive philosophies and fresh, new ideas gleaned while the Sun was in Sagittarius must now come down to earth in grounded, useful ways. We have additional help to accomplish this with Mercury, Pluto and Venus all dressed in the “let’s get down to business” attire. Capricorn knows how to get the job done. We can apply ourselves with discipline and bring forth great results for our efforts…which can begin to nourish us as they are made manifest by the light of the next full moon in Cancer on January 4, 2015.
