When the Sun moves out of Gemini and enters Cancer, the Northern Hemisphere experiences the summer solstice. On this day, we reach the peak of expanded daylight. It’s time to celebrate the beauty of Nature’s growth all around us and enjoy some Midsummer magic.
Like clockwork, the timing of the seasonal cycles is precise. When we pause for a moment to reflect on this, we find ourselves observing the innate order at work in our universe.
New Moon in Cancer

The Sun and Moon are in Cancer for this New Moon. Since Cancer is the cardinal water sign ruled by the Moon, there is an extra emphasis on the lunar influence.
Mercury and Mars are in sensitive Cancer as well, providing us with the desire to communicate our feelings. This is a time when home, family, personal life, safety and security are in the forefront emotionally.
When we allow the wisdom of the natural ebbs and flows of life to guide us, we are better able to release what no longer benefits us and allow an influx of what does.
Just as exhaling creates the space for new air, we can create an opening for new inspiration.
Cancer energies propel us to find that place deep within us that knows what we need to feel nurtured and truly at home.
Time to set your New Moon intentions!
